So this is a total coincidence, the Duncan Hines cupcakes I always make are dairy free, even the icing by Pillsbury. My daughter is obsessed with Disney Princess so I had to make them. I ordered topper princess picks from Amazon. I divided the white icing into my different color options. I used food coloring to make my dress colors. For Ariel I added green, yellow, to the pipping bag then topped it off with a pink, purple. I experimented with various different piping tips and found that a wilton 21 star was a perfect texture for dresses. I practiced first. I centered my pipe and squeezed perpendicular to the cupcake and kept my pipe there till the cupcake was covered enough. I then increased height and decrease squeeze to form a point at the top. Then placed a Princess toothpick ontop. I had some pink color sugar that I also dashed ontop.
